When your insurer lets you down
Insurance companies are there to protect you when you need it the most. If you are unable to work due to illness or injury, your extended medical insurer should support you with income replacement benefits. When insurers fail to do so, the stress and mental anguish caused as result can be severe. Insurance policies like these are called “peace of mind” contracts and when insurers fail to live up to their obligations, there can be serious consequences for the insurance company leading to damages for what is called “bad faith”. Claims against insurers can also be made for things like the wrongful denial of benefits under any insurance contract including home or life insurance. If your claim against an insurance company is not being accepted or if the insurance company is not treating you fairly, let us assist you to get things on track. We only act for the insured, never for insurance companies. Do not delay as there are often strict time limits that apply.
